Meet Allie—writer, marketer, and forthcoming author.

About Allie

Allie Moore is a writer and soon-to-be author based in Washington, D.C. Her debut book, BODY CON: A Memoir of Losing, Gaining, and Escaping Diet Culture, is a literary memoir that explores grief, eating disorder recovery, and the false promises of wellness culture. She draws on her lived experience and a background in feature writing to infuse her storytelling with real-world relatability.

Before turning to narrative nonfiction, Allie wrote her way across industries and continents. As a copywriter and content marketer, she shaped stories in tech, media, and nonprofits in D.C., Barcelona, and Cambodia, while learning how to blend language, nuance, and the human experience through the written word. She brings this awareness and global perspective to her creative work, enabling her to craft resonant narratives for any audience.

Allie’s writing on eating disorders and body image has been recognized by the Eating Disorders Coalition, which awarded her the Voices of Advocacy Award for an essay examining social media and body image.
